A bit of a plug here (so bear with me…)
I’ve been running out of surface space around the house to “store” all my fused glass experiments pieces, so when I heard about Artfire, I thought, “hmm.”
You’ve heard of Etsy, right? It’s a popular site where people sell their handmade items, crafts, and artwork in a nice online shopping mall. I considered Etsy, but wow, their site is so huge I just felt I’d be lost in the abyss there. Then I heard about Artfire, the relatively new shopping site in town. I also like the name of it. Not that I particularly do “art,” but I do “fire!” (Heh heh, in my kiln, get it?) OK.
They just happened to be promoting an offer to join that I couldn’t in my right mind refuse, so I jumped on it. Been spending a lot of time getting ‘r set up, creating a banner, taking photos of my stuff, and uploading them. I didn’t upload everything I’ve done — those early pieces are pretty much on the rough side. But some, plus a few stained glass projects. I’ll add more non-disasters decent items as they emerge from the kiln, and likely more stained glass garden stakes, too. It went live last night and thanks to two of my beloved Facebook/Blogger/Twitter friends, I was astounded to learn that I sold two items! (Shipped off today!) (I am a total dweeb when it comes to strapping tape. Hopefully I’ll improve with practice. Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to practice!)
Here’s a screenshot of my “shop.” (Click to embiggen)
How do you get there? Here is the link if you’d like to save it to your “favorites!” :o)

Or, at Artfire.com (which is easy enough to remember) you can do a search for “KingfisherGlass” under Seller Search (in the drop down menu). Even just typing “Kingfisher” there will let you find it. Eventually you should be able to Google KingfisherGlass and ta-da! (From what I understand, it takes a couple of weeks for the search engine to swallow/digest/poop it out).
Anyway. Fun! And lots of motivation to play!

Peanut Update
She is doing a lot better! It’s a gradual improvement, but most definitely improvement, which is very encouraging. She’s using those hind legs more and more, and gaining strength in them, however she is quite wobbly. I mentioned on Facebook that when food is a factor, she is a marvel at awkward galloping.
