Oh. My. God. This house is
an oven hella hot miserable 85 deg. inside. Yeah, well, it's 100.9 degrees outside. (Heh heh, that's because the sun is baking directly on the digital sensor -- it's really about the same temperature outside as it is inside). So our A/C is apparently kaput.
There is irony here. JDub may not appreciate this, but I'm going to bring it up anyhoo. You've heard about the "shoe salesman's kids who don't have shoes?" OK, so this is Da Airplane Company's facilities manager guru (in charge of HVAC and various humungous building systems), and our A/C is kaput. In fact, it's never worked properly. I really don't blame him -- it's really not his fault at all. But...I just think it's rather ironic. And so, I was mean and had to bring it up.
So looking forward to heading to Harstine tomorrow night. JDub's arranged for the rental (from our neighbor down there who owns an equipment rental place) for a bobcat once again to do some work around the property. Make room behind our camping trailer to store the boat and thereby make more parking space available. Flatten areas that need flattening (as much as possible). The problem is, it's supposed to rain all weekend. Here we've had an uber-warm and sunny work-week, and the weekend is due to be ca-ca. Crap. So he may be mud-moving instead of earth-moving. On the relaxation front, I have my adventure game, he has several new books to read, and we have the Empire Falls DVD to watch. Just need to stock up on food.
